Aquilino García, reelected President of Ticbiomed

Paqui Cano assumes the office of Vice-President to increase healthcare professionals visibility within the Ticbiomed Board of Trustees.

“We want healthcare organisations and their professionals to have the weight they deserve, as they are the real leaders of the digital transformation in healthcare”, says Aquilino García, President at Ticbiomed.

Ticbiomed members have confidence once again in Aquilino García, founder of the digital company Health Point Europe and President of Ticbiomed since 2015.

According to Aquilino, “At Ticbiomed we would like to play our part in the change that healthcare model needs. We already live in a digital society and healthcare can’t be left out. Besides, we still have unresolved issues, like the improvement of quality assistance to patients or costs reduction, which will not be possible to solve without the support of technology”.

Along this new legislature, the association incorporates Paqui Cano as Vice-President because of her outstanding personal and professional profile. Paqui is CEO at Clinimur and her position will balance the presence between the IT sector and the healthcare profile within the Ticbiomed Board of Trustees.

“We want healthcare organisations and their professionals to have the weight they deserve, as they are the real leaders of the digital transformation in healthcare. Technology is here to help them, making their daily work easier and more competitive. At Ticbiomed we want to become the bridge to connect innovative healthcare professionals and digital health companies”, as pointed out by Aquilino.

The new Board of Trustees is also formed by Juan Salvador Castejón, from Vócali, as secretary and treasurer; and, as members, Manuel Clavel-Sáinz, from Hospital Bernal, José Tomás Palma, from the University of Murcia, and Rafael García, from Ever Health. We have also open the participation to the UPCT and UCAM universities, as well as relevant healthcare professionals and researchers in order to create a technical advisory committee in digital health.

Ticbiomed is a business association that promotes collaborative projects in digital health. We facilitate open-innovation agreements among different eHealth stakeholders, and also bridge the gap between unmet needs and solutions: linking eHealth professionals, building customized relationships and so on. As an exampleo, we are currently coordinating inDemand, a EU project with a demand-driven approach, where Healthcare organizations and companies co-create Digital Health solutions, with the economic support of public regional funds.
